I am trying to accept some expense reports from Expensify into Quickbooks Online — I haven't had any success. How do you do it?
Hi @SusanT, thanks for letting me know. I've sent you an email requesting some screenshots, so we can troubleshoot this a bit deeper.
Go to Settings > Policies > Groups > _[Policy Name] _ > Connections. Enter your QBO Connection and then export the expenses once you have all the settings in place
Hi @SusanT - welcome and thanks for posting! Do you have the QB Online connection set up in Expensify? This would be in your Settings page > Groups > click on [Policy Name] > Connections section under QuickBooks Online.
If you are set up already, are you receiving an error when trying to export? If so, can you send a screenshot or the text of that error to us on this thread?
@SusanT also, if you have done the connection, don't forget to hit 'Export To' at the top of your report to actually export it across

I checked all the Connection setups, and they are all there. I export, and it says it is exported successfully from Expensify. But it never shows up in QBO.

I see you have a number of Policies, can you tell me a Report ID please? This will help us narrow it down to which Policy to look at and which report is misbehaving.
You'll find the Report ID on the top left of the report when you click into it.
I don't know how to click into the report at this point--now that I have supposedly exported it to Quickbooks it seems to have disappeared from Expensify. But I can tell you from memory the Policy was "HoC Expense Policy."
Hi @SusanT - thanks for the policy name.
I took a peek at your account and was able to see you had your Reports page filtered to the "Heart of the Customer" policy instead of the "HoC Expense Policy".
If you filter to the correct policy, you should see a report that is exported to QuickBooks. (below)
Please click on the report to enter it, and then scroll down to the report's History & Comment section. From this section, you should be able to open the exported information directly in QuickBooks! (below)
After clicking the view links, please let us know how it goes!
Thanks, I changed the filter and could see this report. But when I click on "View reimbursable expenses," it does not show them. It merely opens QBO. But the expenses are nowhere to be found.
Hi @SusanT - now that you have found the reports, would you mind sharing a Report ID - I want to be 100% sure I'm looking at the same thing as you. And I'll tell you exactly where they should be, and you can confirm if they're there.
