We also have ours on a remote server where our Quickbooks is housed and every time anyone gets onto the server the Sync Manager opens. Is there any way to keep that from popping up every time?
Hi @rclark - I'm investigating this for you and will let you know once I've done some digging. Talk to you soon!
Hi again @rclark - Can you confirm if your employees are accessing the same server profile, or if they all have separate logins and it's popping up on each one?
We have separate logins and it's popping up on everyone's.
Hi @rclark - Are you using a terminal server? If so, is the Sync Manager installed on the terminal server or the small business server?
Our IT person said: And I think the answer is both, but to cut down on confusion-maybe say terminal? (It’s terminal on a small business….or we’re mid transfer from terminal to small business.)
Was there any progress on this? I just made an account to try and figure it out. I have a terminal server and every client that logs on gets the sync manager. The manager is already connected to the company files it needs to be. However every user whether or not they are using it gets the sync manager on login.
@DerekAdams Have you gone into the startup options on your server and set not to run on startup? Here's a guide to changing what runs on startup:
I tried a gpo without avail. Just found autoruns. that took care of it. Thank you for your help!
That's great to hear @DerekAdams! Let me know if you need anything else!
