how do i turn off automatic smart scan?
SmartScan is enabled by default for all Expensify accounts.
If you'd like to disable SmartScan, head to Settings > Your Account > Preferences > SmartScanning (Below)
Smart Scanning has failed a whole bunch of times for me recently - it's woefully incorrect at the moment (detects 30$ instead of 300$, 5$ instead of 52$ etc..) so people should probably turn it off. It would be better that it just didn't put a number in if it wasn't 100% sure of the scan rather than taking the closest guess.
@daniel_iversen, thanks for posting and I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with the SmartScan feature. This functionality focuses heavily on accuracy so we'd like to take a closer look at examples you have of this.
