Importing tags

I cannot edit my tags since connecting to QBO. In Expensify, there is a button to "edit tags" but when I click it, I cannot edit the tags. Then, there is no choice to import an Excel file, only to export. How do I update/edit tags as needed? Thank you.

Hello @hunt9701, thanks so much reaching out for help here. @tylerzoll, good job on this one!
I took a peek at your configuration for QuickBooks Online and can see you're importing Classes as a report field and Customer/Projects as tags. (below)
If you'd like, you can have both lists of information import as tags, allowing employees to select a tag from each list on every expense. To do this, navigate to your Admin page > click on [policy name] > Connections tab > Configure button for the QuickBooks Online connection > Coding tab.
From there, select tag in the drop down for Classes and save the new configuration. Your connection will sync and you should see both lists in the Tag tab of your policy settings.

@hunt9701, The nice thing about syncing to Quickbooks is that Quickbooks now sets your tags. If you update your class or department categories in Quickbooks the changes should flow through to Expensify. This way there are no mismatches between QuickBooks and Expensify when you try to export.

The tags I have in Expensify aren't in QBO. Where do I enter them in QBO so they'll flow when I sync? When I just searched for an answer in QB on this, I was referred to Expensify, so I hope to get an answer from the Expensify community. Thanks.

Gosh, this is just not what I want. I already have classes and locations in QB, and these things aren't the tags I have in Expensify. It used to be so easy to edit tags, even upload a CSV file with updated tag info - why can I not do that now?

@hunt9701, How is it different than what you would like to have happen? Do you want your QuickBooks classes to match your Expensify tags or your Expensify Tags to match your QuickBooks classes?
The problem is that you have mismatched reports and export errors if they do not match.
