The process for importing the approval workflow from your Sage Intacct integration to Expensify has been modified. Previously, when importing users from Intacct to your Expensify account, we allowed you to set your approval workflow by importing managers from Sage Intacct. Big news is that you can now import a second level of approval from Sage Intacct and set a final approver in Expensify

To enable this feature head to your Intacct advanced configuration settings in your policy and click on Invite Employees followed by Import Sage Intacct approvals into Expensify:

Once that option is enabled in your policy you can head to ** Settings > Policies > Group > [Policy Name] > People** and select the specific approval workflow mode for your integration:

Please note that if you need to add or edit an optional final approver, you will need to select the Manager Approval option in the workflow.

Below you can find more information on the specific setups:

Basic Approval - All users submit to one user.
Manager Approval - Each user submits to the manager (imported from Sage Intacct). Each manager forwards to one final approver. Please note that the final approver is an optional field.
Configure Manually - Import employees only

If you choose to import Intacct employee records and invite them to your policy, the approval workflow will be defaulted to Manager Approval and can be further configured on the People settings page of your Expensify account.

If your Expensify policy is already connected to Intacct and you choose to invite employees from the accounting integration moving forward, we will replace the current workflow options with the Intacct options (Basic approval/Manager approval/Configure manually).
