When I am exporting a recipe from a PDF in a google chrome tab the expensify's icon keeps on working indefinitely and never sends any info.
Hi @Diegocal, thanks for bearing with me! I did some testing and had a chat with my team and learned that the Expensify extension doesn't work on PDFs. If you have a PDF we ask that you forward it to [email protected] and that should do the trick!
Hello @diegocal, hmmmmm. Can you please try to remove and reinstall the Chrome extension and let me know if that does the trick. If the same behavior continues after installing it fresh, I'll be able to escalate this for my team to take a closer look at.
I have done the reinstallation but unfortunately, the problem continues...
Hi @diegocal, are you using any new Chrome extensions since this issue started? Additionally, you mentioned that you were creating the receipt from a PDF, so I wanted to confirm if you have this same issue if you're capturing a receipt from a web page?
If this is only happening with a PDF, you can try to forward the PDF to [email protected] to have it added to your account and SmartScanned.
Hey @Sheena Trepanier
Yes, effectively this is only happening with the PDF and not with an HTML format recipe. If I forward the PDF as an attachment it works well but it the downside is that it requires extra steps.
The extension version is 1.5.2.
This capture of the PDF from chrome It really never worked on my computer...
Brilliant information @diegocal, thanks for confirming for me! I'm going to do some testing and see if I can't figure this out for you. I'll be in touch soon on this thread!
Ahhhh that is why
You're very welcome @diegocal!
