Education series #2 - Creating and answering Q&A posts in the Expensify Community
And we’re back! This week we’d love to discuss how to make a great Q&A post in the Community. Sometimes articulating your issue can be tough, especially when you don’t want to share private account information. If you feel like you’ll only be able to resolve your issue by sharing account information, please reach out to [email protected] for individual support.
Below you’ll find a few things you can do to make sure you get the most out of the questions you ask.
- Post to the category that best fits your topic.
- Use a clear title.
- Share information about what is going wrong, what is happening in your account, or what advice you'd like to receive. Remember, please don’t share any photos or information you wouldn’t share publicly.
- If you want the opinions of other Expensify users, ask for them, and we’ll do our best to surface your question multiple times.
- If you’re replying to another Expensify user who has answered your question, using @”their username” will increase their visibility on your reply.
On the flipside, the Community also offers you the ability to flex your Expensify muscles and share some best practices your team uses, or answer the question of another user. If you see a post that you know the answer to then jump in and share some of that knowledge.
When answering another user's question, feel free to @ their username and provide help page links or screenshots that don't contain confidential account information.
Whether you're asking questions or providing answers, contributing to the Community lets us tap our greatest resource, the wonderful individuals who use Expensify every single day.
