Expensify/ QBO

  • When editing the name for a Category in Expensify synced to QBO, does the change in name get synced back to QBO?
  • What happens when the sync with QBO happens again? Is the Name changed back to the QBO name?
  • When An Accountant user is part of a client’s workflow (E.g. final approval step in Advanced Approval) is the client charged for the Accountant’s user?
  • Is there a way to predict the timing of the receiving of the Expensify ACH reimbursement by the Employee?

    Hi @CPAFirm_Wallace

    1. No, this is all one way from QBO to Expensify.
    2. Yes, that's exactly what will happen.
    3. Yes. The accountant is an Active User. This is why many accounting firms 'own' the client policies then on-charge the Expensify billing. That way each client just pays a weeny bit of that fee. Or some include it as part of a fixed-price agreement/service plan.
    4. Not really. If it's under $100 it will be 1-2 days, if over it will be 3-5 working days. The banks control this, and some are faster than others.

    I hope that helps!!

    Regards, Rachael
