Filter expenses and reports in the mobile app
It would be great if you could filter out all of the expenses and reports based upon their status in the mobile app. We have been using the Expensify app for almost a year now and it is very difficult to look at the Expenses section in the mobile app to determine which expenses have already been submitted or approved. I would like to be able to set a filter in the mobile app which hides all expenses and reports that have been approved, like you can do in web-based interface.

Expensify, this is huge! I get this comment from so many of my users.

I don't have any good news to share on this yet but I'm keeping my eyes open and will update you all with details once I have some to share!

0 · Accept Answer Off Topic Insightful Vote Up AwesomeThis is definitely really essential to have in the iOS app. There's a massive problem if I find & scan an old receipt in the app - as soon as it's smartscanned it moves from the top of the list down hidden somewhere in amongst 300+ reimbursed receipts and is impossible to find in the app. Filters to hide reimbursed receipts would fix that.

If expensify isn't going to see the iOS app as important to your business perhaps you can open source it so others can add the missing features?

1 · Accept Answer Off Topic Insightful 1Vote Up AwesomeHey @JosephH, the updates aren't live on mobile yet and we don't have an ETA for that. Rest assured that our team is working on that and we will announce to users once it's live!

0 · Accept Answer Off Topic Insightful Vote Up AwesomeI absolutely agree with all the views above. To emphasize:
@CaptainBianco the app is just a camera without this
@rpabbott88 : We have a risk of stopping if this is not resolved.
everyone uses their mobile phone and the app when expenses occur! getting a lot of pushback from the users. We should have 100 but we only have 22.
Please Please put in filters. allow users to see only current expenses so they can handle them better and submit them quicker
hate to see a great expenses solution to be stymied by a below-par app!

0 · Accept Answer Off Topic Insightful Vote Up AwesomeHey Expensify - any progress to report on this case? It will greatly enhance the usability of the mobile app if users are able to filter expenses.
We have started linking credit card transactions and receipts are submitted once they are matched to a transaction. If users are slow in submitting receipts they will have a mixture of open and closed transactions in the list and have to scroll the list to see all the open transactions they are missing receipts for.
It will definitely be an irritant, especially for heavy credit card users.

0 · Accept Answer Off Topic Insightful Vote Up Awesome@IsabelaStisser It's now 5 months since @RachCHopkins said mobile app improvements would be happening "soon". Can you please extend on the definition of "soon"?
There are some major usability issues in the current app and some quite simple changes would significantly improve the situation - I'm finding it hard to carry on recommending expensify to people when you seem not to be listening to your users.

0 · Accept Answer Off Topic Insightful Vote Up AwesomeHi @JosephH - thanks for calling this out. Like you, we were super jazzed about the prospect of more search and filtering options on mobile late last year but as with so many things in business, this has been put on the back-burner a little for the time being whilst we work on a lot of other great improvements to both the app, the website and our all important back-end to make sure everything is running smoothly.
At the moment, this is idea is now just "Gathering use cases" again, but we'll move it to "In development" when we pick this project back up again in the future.

Hi! 100% Agree!
Comment above was noted in April that it was put on back burner, now that we are approaching October is there any other news on this? We have a staff of over 300 people whom half at least use expensify. It would be great to get this going.

[Edit: Wow, that was a year ago and not last month that you commented! Hoping to have a solution very soon!]
