Expensify wins big in Cannes!
Some of you may have caught our "Expensify This" campaign earlier this year, which included the world’s first music video you can expense, a Super Bowl commercial, and a rap song featuring 2 Chainz and Adam Scott. We worked on the campaign for months with our friends from JohnXHannes New York, an Emmy award-winning creative collective.
After the campaign dust settled and we got back to business as usual, the 2019 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity hit last week. The Cannes Lions event takes place in France every year and celebrates top achievers from around the world in the creative communications industry. This year, there were 30,953 entries across 89 countries vying for awards in categories like Entertainment, Craft, and Impact.
Well, here's the fun part. Expensify and JohnXHannes took home 7 Cannes Lions, making us the first fintech company ever to win at the event! This is a massive achievement for everyone, including the Expensify Community. We're so proud to have you all join us on this journey and we can't wait to see what's next!
