AMEX Credit Card Import - Filter by Card Member
Currently, when importing transactions from an American Express credit card account, all card members' transactions are loaded (main account holder and additional card holders).
Right now, I have to browse through all imported transactions and delete those which are not mine.
It would be great if Expensify could filter by card member, so that other card members' transactions would either not be importer at all, or automatically marked as deleted.
Thanks!

Hi there, I have great news for you! We already support this functionality and you can import your set of cards in Domain Control and assign them to to users there.
Here's how it works, you will be able to import the set of cards using the master credentials under the Company Cards section in Domain Control, then we will bring in all the cards tied to that set. Then you can assign the cards to each user, and the transactions will automatically import to users accounts.
The good news doesn't stop there, when you import company cards in Domain Control, you can take advantage of another shiny feature: the reconciliation dashboard! Check this out and let me know if you have any other questions!

Actually, what I'm looking for is something different. I have a personal AMEX account. I also have an additional card for my spouse. When I import card transactions to Expensify, I see my own transactions and the ones on my spouse's card. Ideally I would like to be able to filter out my spouse's transactions and only see mine.

0 · Accept Answer Off Topic Insightful Vote Up AwesomeHey @YannB, thanks for clarifying! It sounds like both cards are tied to the same Amex login. If that's the case, you will see the transactions made on both cards import to Expensify.
You will need to reach out to Amex and have them provide different credentials for each card. Once that's done, you will be able to import them separately to Expensify. If you have any issues moving forward, please reach out to [email protected], and the team will be able to troubleshoot any credit card issues for you.
Let me know if you have questions and I will be happy to help!

0 · Accept Answer Off Topic Insightful Vote Up AwesomeI am looking for something along the lines of this as well. I see the difference in the cards that are imported but you have to drill in to each expense to do so. If a rule could be set up to either ignore or tag these transactions based on the card number used that would be very helpful. Or even to be able to mark and make bulk changes/modifications...is this possible?

0 · Accept Answer Off Topic Insightful Vote Up Awesome@aegpkg at the moment, this isn't possible and the only workaround is to set up individual credentials for each card. This is as much about how AMEX connects to Expensify as Expensify creating functionality for this but I appreciate that it's not ideal!
Hope that helps with some context, let me know if you have any other questions!
