adding new categories

I am trying to add new categories but the little "add category" feature does not show up on my screen.

Can someone please help me?

Hi @tommiem, thanks for posting! Have you recently tried to connect an accounting package to Expensify? If so, the add category section will not be visible any longer because the creation of categories is controlled by the connection.

For example, with a connection to QuickBooks Desktop you'd see your Chart of Accounts imported as categories after establishing the connection.
