I wanted to promote the following new feature:
Add Image Crop with the App so the image that will be uploaded to the site will be the cropped one. This will speed the expense report submission process
Duplicate of the Idea linked below.
Hi @dandoron, would you mind elaborating a little more? Are you referring to the picture that you take through the Expensify camera app? If so, how would having this feature hasten the process?
Don't forget to vote for your own idea, too!

If I can crop while I am still at the restaurant I don't have to do it later when I submit my report via the site...
How do I vote?
@dandoron Thanks for clarifying! You can vote by clicking the Vote button in the yellow box at the bottom of your original post.
Hello all, Here is a similar idea, I think this would be really nice! https://community.expensify.com/discussion/comment/11000#Comment_11000
Thanks for sharing this @tylerzoll, great option and an idea with more votes is always the better option to add onto 👏!!
Yes Please, just to do this, I use Genius scan, crop and make black and white for better contrast and then upload to Expensify. I am an independent contractor and have to turn in expense reports to various other companies.. so they can print it out and file it (or whatever they do!!). This would really to be a time saver to have it all in one place.
Hi @Raghu — thanks for posting and sharing that additional feedback! Your use case seems like a great example for a feature like this, so please make sure to vote on the post as well!
Hi All, I'm just going to close this duplicate Idea in favour of the one Tyler linked above as that is gaining traction.
I would like to see cropping functions added to the app.
on the desktop, the date input object would benefit by upgrading the functiomality to handle an auto recognition of text entered into the date box. This is a function that QBO uses for efficiency. Inputted date data does not have to be formatted with dash symbols or slashes. And the box also automatically highlights the current data when clicking the mouse cursor in the data box (select all)
Hi @pezer20, thanks for the comments!

Do you mind sharing how this relates to @dandoron's "Image Crop Using the App" idea here or do you think it might be useful to create a new idea?
It would be great either way to see an example of what you mean to help staff here and users on the Community understand the improvement as well as you do.
Thanks for these details - it's super helpful to understand how you would use this.
Please also upvote the original idea so that we can gather a holistic view of demand for this type of feature.
