Encountered this same error as soon as I updated to Android 10. Have not been able to resolve.
@SCCanadian, to confirm this error is occurring after updating your Android operating system, correct?
@LexiP, this is the first report I'm seeing of this but I'm looking into it now and will follow up here shortly. Have you by any chance just updated your Android operating system? If not, which version are you using?
@LexiP -- I see you're on an iPhone, was this an error you received or was it from another employee?
One last question for you both. Were you creating a mileage expense right before this happened? If not, what did you do right before receiving this error?

This was from an employee. He said he was uploading a receipt onto his expense report. Does he need to update his app?
I got same error on my IPhone as I did on my Android10 phone so apparently not unique to the Android update. In both cases I was entering mileage expense inc. starting and ending mileage. Have not tried either one today.
@LexiP and @SCCanadian, can you both make sure your phone (or the employee's phone) is updated to the most recent version, then open the app and try again?
We've had some good news from other customers so far and I wanted to make sure you're in the "it's working" camp before I let this one rest.

As.mrntioned I am up to date on both my Android 10 phone and my IPhone. Will try them both again but I noticed my Android synced the mileage expenses it coud not process before.
