It’s not a scam I received reimbursement next day. Many people did this and they probably wrote that on Facebook because the number of claims has been filled. Did you submit it properly cause I didn’t at first and if you don’t you will not get reimbursement.
You have to submit on the desktop site not the mobile
@Samantha111879 I submitted on the mobile app and each time I’ve reached out to them they have all told me I submitted it right- it just says processing for weeks now. They said they’ll get to it as soon as they can. What date did you submit yours?
In the step by step directions for submitting properly it says #1- download the expensify app then from there it says to use the smart scan and submit in there. I followed those directions and no where did it say it must be submitted through desktop site.

I’m sorry @BrittanyR15 you dont have to do it through desktop I submitted it wrong the first day and had to open it again and that had to be done through desktop
@Samantha111879 you submitted yours on the 23rd and received it the next day? Mine has been processing since the 25th. I don't believe the reports were done in order based on all the comments I've been reading on some of the posts. It's great they are willing to help people, but it would have been nice if it was done fairly. From what I've read the money has run out.
@Kimber I thought the same. Mine has been processing since March 22nd, so she was a day later than me and got hers before me. They definitely didn’t go in order and now funds are out. How is that fair when people after me got theirs but now funds are exhausted and I’ve been waiting 3 weeks. Not trying to complain but I agree- it’s a nice gesture had they gone in order. It would be really helpful during this time.
I do not have a paper receipt as I did Walmart grocery pickup and they send the receipt to my email. Can I use that?

Once you SmartScan a receipt it becomes an expense. You can see expenses on the mobile app when you tap the three horizontal bars in the upper left corner of the screen and choose Expenses.
It looks like you submitted the expense to a policy other than the expensify.org/hunger policy so the expense automatically Closed.
Here's what I recommend, keep that receipt until you receive a text confirming you have been added to the expensify.org/hunger policy. Once you receive that text, SmartScan that receipt again and submit it in the same method you already did.
Or, if you have access to a computer, you can move the already created expense to the expensify.org/hunger policy following the steps in this community post. These steps are not available on the mobile app. Please let me know if you have any questions!
