I am already in the hunger group. I submitted my report with receipt many times and they all say “closed”. What do I do now

I'm trying to figure out if I submitted my report correctly. I sent it and it's now labeled as 'closed'. Is that normal? I've been out of work for 6 months and was about to start a new job but now it's all on hold.. any info will be helpful, thank you!

Hi @Nicole29! Thanks for reaching out in the Expensify Community! We'll take a peek at the expense and we can adjust the Volunteer Reimbursement Category if you're having trouble with it.
In terms of the rejection notifications, we'll include a reason for rejection to help guide you through submitting a new expense.
Important things to keep in mind about the receipt image, we need see the merchant name, date (it needs to be a recent receipt), and total amount including the EBT amount spent on each receipt image.
Tip: If you're submitting a long receipt, I suggest folding the receipt in the middle so we can see the top and bottom of it.

It looks like each of you submitted reports to a policy other than the Expensify.org/hunger group policy. I can help you get things back on track!
When you have a moment, will each of you please sign-in to your account on a web app at www.expensify.com.
1) Then please go to the Reports page and click on that Closed report.
2) Click Undo Close at the top of the page.
3) Once the Report is Open (not closed) you'll want to click on the policy drop-down on the right side of the page and move the report to Expensify.org/hunger policy.
Here's a screenshot with what this will look like:
4) Click Submit to submit the report to the Expensify.org/hunger group policy.
5) We'll review the report and follow up with each of you!

I wasn’t given the option to choose Volunteer Reimbursement, but I know I submitted everything else correctly. Will I have to resubmit my claim if that was entered incorrectly?

Hi, I submitted my receipt and followed the directions. The status currently says processing. I am just wondering what the date on the receipt has to be because I submitted one from the end of february but I do have another one from the other day I just have to find it. Can you please let me know if I need to resubmit a new receipt. Thank you!

Hi I have been nervous about going into a store I live in a mid sized city there have been some with the virus. I like order pickup at Walmart and I was hoping to submit this type of receipt. Thanks for your help.

We are doing our best to process receipts and get the reimbursements out to people as soon as we can. As you might expect, there has been a huge uptake with this initiative.
If you can explain a bit to me about what exact blocker you are facing, I can look into it for you?

We would love to help you out and totally understand that you don't want to go into the store.
If you obtain the online receipt that shows that you are a SNAP / EBT recipient, and upload a screenshot of your SNAP account, this should be sufficient (like below!)

I am frustrated. Partial blind and memory loss and getting the app is a challenge. argh
I miss out on anything that requires an app. When you get older and your eye sight- and body mind wont co operate -

I went through all the steps and successfully received my reimbursement! Thank you so much! Every little bit helps so much more than you know! My only concern, on the app it shows I am on a $4.99/month "policy", am I going to be charged for the app?

I'm really glad to hear you managed to get reimbursed and we could help you out.
It sounds like in the process of joining the Hunger Policy, you may have also signed up for an Individual Subscription (the $4.99/month one!).
If you didn't mean to do this, then you should alter this Individual Subscription and Downgrade to a Free Subscription.

Thanks for the reply. Biggest problem for me is linking a bank account. I have a Tmobile Money account that I use for all my banking needs. (Best card ever!) I did upload my Master card info but it seems I would need to somehow link this site to a bank.
Also the notice of this initiative came in the middle of the month, (we are now using cash for food), as are many others. A lot of people won't have their receipts showing snap purchases. (until next month when the funds may already be depleted). I was able to find one for $24 but the rest of this month's receipts would all show cash payments. Some people will only have the cash payment ones on hand.

@AJB Since we are using our expense reporting software to do this, we are using it the best way we can. You can connect any bank that has a routing and account number that accepts direct deposit.
We are planning to continue to do this as long as we have funds and we do get new funds daily and monthly through direct donations and our Karma points programs. As soon as you do have a receipt, feel free to submit it. We can only match EBT receipts as part of this campaign.
