Update: Allocation support for our QuickBooks Online integration!

Exciting news!!! Starting next week, when you export a split credit card expense to QuickBooks Online, we will create a single credit card transaction. Reconciliation has never been easier!! No more fishing through your list of transactions trying to match up split expenses.
To break it down for you:
Here’s a single expense in Expensify split and categorized.

Here's the new allocated expense created in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any questions reach out to [email protected] to let us know how we can help!

Hooray!

In addition to different GL accounts, can you enter different customers and classes for split transactions?
-
That's correct @FGSA! Any information entered at the line item level will be carried over.

This does not seem to be working for me. I have a few CC splits and they are all being imported to QBO as individual transactions.... help

@bservis I'd love to take a closer look for you. Can you reach out to [email protected] and include screenshots of the transactions in QuickBooks and the report ID from within Expensify? You can also reference this conversation to make it easier to keep your information together. Thanks!

I am testing Expensify for the first time. It seems in Quickbooks Desktop, a single credit card transaction that is split to multiple QB Desktop categories is syncd to QBD as separate credit card charge transactions, which then makes matching to a single QB credit card charge coming from bank feeds impossible.
Is the allocation functionality announced above in December 2017 only available in QBO?

Hi @BobG Welcome to the Expensify Community!
I have gone away and spoken to the team about this - it's definitely only QBO not QBD I'm afraid.
-
Any plans to bring this functionality into QBD?

Hi @BobG, great question! The QuickBooks Desktop connection is more limited in what we're able to do in terms of supporting features and export options. If we can bring this to QBD in the future, we'll definitely explore it as an option.
