Make the Reconciliation Dashboard available to All Users

Our accounting department ends up reconciling cards at the end of each month. Would be great if individual cardholders could reconcile their own cards for the statement period individually before submitting. This would lead to less reconciliation work for accounting at the back end.

    Hi @johnehrhardt - thanks for posting! Would you mind telling me a bit more about how you envision that functioning? Do your employees have access to their credit card statements now or would you need to send them to each employee at month's end?

    I think that a lot of admin would still want to do their own reconciliation to double check their employee's work. If your employees can access their statement, they start doing this by comparing it to their report before submitting right now. In that case, what would you need in Expensify to assist with this and trust that your employees had reconciled properly?

    If we were to make the Reconciliation Dashboard available to everyone rather than restricted to admin, then any domain member would have access to view all the expenses of other employees. This is usually not something that our customers want.

    Thanks Sheena. Each employee has access to see their own Capital One account via their Capital One online log-in. How I would envision the reconciliation dashboard is it would be limited to their own card, so they can confirm they have submitted all transactions during the statement period. I agree with you that their would be some top-side reconciling by the admins and agree that we would not want cardholders having access to all the cards, but access to their individual cards would be helpful.

    Hi @johnehrhardt if the CapOne cards are importing, the users can simply use a date range on their Expenses Page to do their card rec.

    The reason for the Company Card Reconciliation Dashboard is because previously the Domain Admins could not see everything that the users can already see in their own accounts.

    So effectively, the Expenses page for the user is the Company Card Reconciliation Dashboard!
