SmartScan

Hi - in settings there is an option to turn off smart scanning import, but it doesn't actually let you do it ?? I asked the concierge about it and they said to leave a note here and see if there was a way to get that working ? Why is the toggle there if it isn't an option? In my account it is very frustrating because of the duplication - we should just be able to import as needed.

Hi @aalr0118! Thanks for reaching out! If you have a group policy under the Control level plan, there isn't a way to fully turn off SmartScan, and for that I apologize!
However, there shouldn't be duplicates, as our SmartScan has duplicate detection built in. Are you finding that receipts are duplicating to other expenses like imported card transactions? If so, these should be merging together automatically to remove any potential duplicates. We have more information on that process found here.

should just be able to turn it off - that is the easy solution - it's showing up in different reports - we turned off the import, because that was really jumbling things up.

I understand @aalr0118, and I apologize! Unfortunately, there isn't a way to turn it off, but in regards to the expenses being "jumbled," are you finding that receipts aren't being SmartScanned correctly? Or is something else happening?
