It would be great if company Policy admins had a Schedule Submit weekly option that included a specific day of the week.
Hi @carreola87 thanks for the idea! We'd love to hear your use case for this suggestion. If you could set a date, which day of the week would you chose and why?
Sure! Our team is not confined to a Monday-Friday schedule. Our team does work on the weekends because we serve the public 7 days a week. Most of our approving managers take care of administrative tasks, like expense approvals, on the weekend. What we're finding is that after setting up multi-level approvals and scheduled weekly submits (which is on Sunday night), its causing a lot of timing issues on getting expenses approved in order to process the reimbursements in a timely manner. By providing the flexibility of picking a specific day of the week, it would allow businesses and expense managers some more time to approve based on their needs.
@carreola87 thanks for the example!
A workaround I can suggest for now is to set Scheduled Submit to "Manually" which will continue putting expenses into reports but either your users or admins will need to click Submit to submit the report for approval (admins can do this on employee's behalf). This does make submission manual but it might help with the administrative timing issues you're describing.
Thanks again for the example. Don't forget to upvote your suggestion so that your voice counts towards the count of requests for this update.
Could I also use the "Monthly" option and change the date each week? For example I want all expenses auto-submitted on Friday. So every Monday morning, I change it to that Friday.
@carreola87 Oh yeah, that could work!
