How do I cancel our account

Our company is WILDLY offended by the blatant abuse of our employee e-mail addresses due to the CEO's political email early this AM. I should not hear political views regarding ANY candidate from a private enterprise such as this. Can you please send us information about terminating our agreement with Expensify?

If you receive an answer on this, please let me know as well. I am not okay with my money supporting somebody spamming my employees.

I cancelled this morning after responding to this tripe:
go to settings, scroll to the bottom, select cancel account. Add your justification/reason for leaving (mine was very sharp.)
you have other options:
-
As soon as we finish up a few outstanding reports, we're leaving as well. Trying Zoho, it looks good and we use some of their other services which have been fantastic, and no political blather, just great customer service at a fair price.
-
We are jumping over to Zoho as well.
-
It looks great so far, including the mobile app. They've been very responsive and helpful, too.
-
Unbelievable!!! Don’t care who you vote for. This is not the platform for politics. Make a political opinions app for that. I am pulling the plug on Expensify. I would imagine that half your customer base is going away. Don’t suppose you care about that though. Never to return and I will be sure and make sure that no one I know, signs up for this BS.
If I was undecided before, not anymore. GO TRUMP!! MAGA!!!

It won't let me cancel our company account as it is saying we are in an annual subscription. How do I get in touch with Expensify?
-
When you're using an Annual Subscription you've made a 12-month commitment to Expensify, the policy billing owner can view the Annual Subscription by heading to Settings > Policies > Group > Subscriptions.
If you're not using a Group policy with an Annual Subscription you can cancel at anytime.
If you'd like to understand more about your subscription and when you can cancel please reach out to Concierge so we can share account information outside the public Community.
-
You also made a 12-month commitment not to make unauthorized use of our employees' email address to tell them who they should vote for and against. I assure you I am not the only person making this request. Do I need to have my legal counsel address this issue?
-
Why will no one get back in touch about cancelling our account? It keeps giving me an error message. I intend to speak with our legal department, the BBB and your investors if I do not receive a response today.
-
Hey @aklambert21, I just wanted to confirm that we received your latest message to Concierge and intend to follow up shortly.
-
Michael--no one followed up with me yesterday so I will be proceeding with filing our complaints. Sneaky that the interface won't allow me to speak with anyone, close my account or delete my payment information. Always be suspicious of companies that do not allow you to speak with a human directly! Lesson learned but I will be shouting from the rooftops to NEVER use Expensify again as they will misuse your employees' personal information. Appalling!

Expensify violated the privacy agreement, yet will not refund a prorated amount of the 12 month subscription. This says a lot about the lack of integrity of the company. You are willing to lose corporate integrity yet won't let this affect your immediate bottom line. The amount of money for each company that wants to cancel is not hat great. A class action lawsuit of all of the companies involved would have a great affect on your bottom line.
-
I should have checked with the BBB prior to ever using Expensify, they have an F rating.

Hi @jwc123gty, if you have any specific questions around your Expensify subscription, feel free to contact Concierge directly.
-
Nicole Mendonca--Ha! I have sent no less than 10 messages about my Expensify subscription and no one has contacted me back. Can you please assist with closing my account before we have to seek legal action?
-
I have sent many messages with no real response except for a canned template response and no real answer.
-
Expensify is a company with no integrity. I tried to cancel my account and they sent me this worthless response:
"Thank you for your patience.
The Annual Subscription is a commitment for 12 complete months and yours currently expires in July 2021. I'm unable to cancel this commitment before the expiration.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience here."
-
I deleted all of my employees so that we only have a single user subscription so that may be an option. I have filed a BBB complaint and our CEO emailed David Barrett that he would be happy to remain a customer if David would allow him to send an e-mail to all of David's employees with the content of his choosing. He even offered to let David read it before it was sent (which David didn't give us the courtesy of doing before he e-mailed all of our employees). Shockingly, no response from David yet.
-
I will post on this site until they let me cancel. Expensify is a company with no integrity. Choose anything else.
-
We're stuck in an annual commitment, too. The response from the Concierge when we complained about this whole incident was (paraphrased) "Too bad you're not as patriotic as we are." Looking at all alternatives and we plan to leave as soon as our commitment is over.
-
I'm also stuck in an annual committment - they want me to do some QBO jiggerypokery to make it work with multiple currencies but I can't do that. I can't even figure out how to stop the auto-renew which I didn't even know I had. Hate them now, used to love them. Now just hate them. The concierge I had a long conversation with was an ass, completely toeing the party line, not being in anyway understanding that $10/month for something I can't use means a lot more to me than to Expensify. I regret all the time I have spent recommending this product.
-
We're disgusted with them for the same reason. It is completely unprofessional to send out those emails. Also, a month after we had signed up for the annual subscription, they informed us that the prices were going up and they MORE THAN DOUBLED what we were paying!!! And there was no option to cancel early even though they changed the amount on us. We've just finished up the year now and are moving to Zoho. I like what I've seen so far and they're cheaper than Expensify was even before they increased their prices!

Hi @rclark - I just answered your question on another thread about cancelling. If you have any more specific questions, please let me know but it should have been covered off there.
