Identifying receipts in Quickbooks

SLHPESSLHPES Expensify Customer Posts: 1

I need a way to identify who the receipt has come from once it has been exported into Quickbooks. Ideally an autofill/autosort but if not just a box they can put their initials in when they upload a receipt so that i can identify it quickly and easily without having to open each transaction.

Hi @SLHPES! Thanks for reaching out! When exporting to QuickBooks, there are various factors that can impact how exports are associated with individuals for easier reconciliation.

Depending on your export type that you select in your policy configurations in Expensify, exports should either be associated with an Employee or Vendor record in QB. How this works is that the email address the report creator uses in Expensify is then used in the connection to find a matching record that has the same email address listed. The export is then associated with that record, allowing you to view who the transactions belong to.

If you're not seeing this when you export, can you please reach out to [email protected]? This will allow our Customer Success Team to be able to work with you on your specific use case and get this sorted for you.
