How to setup up yearly limit for a category of expense.

To explain in detail.. want to setup say $1000 as an yearly limit for a category of expense.. Employee can claim multiple time in a year but the summation of all the claims under this category for that year for that employee should not exceed $ 1000..

Hi, @Madan thanks for reaching out to us in the community. You can set a limit per expense per category or limit per day per category, but there is no way to set an annual limit for a category. Can you provide a use case where this would be super beneficial for your business? It is not a common request, but we would love to gain more insight!

We have a Learning Budget of US$ 1000 per year per employee.. However the employee can exhaust this at time or like take multiple claims.. Eg., He can claim for US$ 600 in March for Udemy course he enrolled and in Nov for US$ 700 for another Udemy course.. But his annual limit is only US$ 1000.. So when he claims the second one in Nov.. Expensify should restrict it only for US$ 400 in Nov as he has already claimed US$600 in March..

@madan Thanks for providing some context! You could export the reports and calculate the cumulative figure, but I don't see a way to implement this in the product. Thank you for reaching out, and if you've any questions please contact concierge@expensify.com !
