A recent change at Chase has resulted in substitute bank account numbers to be displayed in Expensify after connecting. You may see account numbers (last four digits) that are not familiar to you after making the connection to the bank account, this is expected.

Chase displays information about this change during the connection process.

While connecting your bank, click the linked FAQ at the top of the Linked apps and websites page

On the resulting page, expand the Do you share full account numbers? What is a substitute account number? topic.

The substitute account number will replace your actual account number and helps provide additional security for your Chase account.

Note: Chase allows you to disable this feature, but leaving it enabled will not affect your ability to connect the bank account to Expensify.
