Changes to our expense reports

We recently made the following changes to our expense reports:

  1. ReportIDs are now a randomised set of numbers, so the length will differ from past reports. 
  2. The default Report Title will be changed from {report:type} #{report:ID} to {report:type} {report:startdate}. 

What are ReportIDs?

ReportIDs are the unique identifier for each report. They can often be found in a Report Title or under the Details section of a report. They can also be exported along with other report and expense details

What is a Report Title?

Report Titles are the name you give to a report. The default report title is {report:type} {report:startdate}. You can customise a report title within the Reports tab of a group policy.

Will this change affect you? 

ReportsIDs and default Report Titles are changing for all customers.

Besides looking different, your spreadsheet program might export the ReportID in the exponential format (e.g. 1.7976931348623157e+308). To fix this, you’ll want to format the ReportID as plain text or a number, depending on how the spreadsheet program originally formats it. 

A default Report Title can be created within the group policy settings. We have the steps to customise a default report title in this support article.
