Netsuite informed that TBA integrations using using the HMAC-SHA1 will no longer be accepted as a signature method for TBA integrations in Netsuite's next version 2023.1. Our Expensify integration is still using that. How can that be updated so that the integration will work in the beginning of 2023 too?

The HMAC-SHA1 signature method for Token-Based Authentication will not affect the Expensify & NetSuite integration. You should not have a problem with the upcoming update.
