Magic sign-in Email Link is the absolute worst
Can we start a discussion on how Expensify's new way of logging in with a magic link sent to your email is the absolute worst? Why would they incorporate such an annoying step to get into your account? It takes up time and is logistically inefficient. Please go back to being a normal company with a normal login / password situation.

I have a nightmare situation where I am not getting magic code to my primary email which is iCloud domain or secondary email. I am locked out and have been writing to the concierge for days with no response. That is the only way to reach Expensify support ! Thousands of dollars of bills are stuck and I am stressed out. The magic code design is high risk solution and I prefer the industry standard 2 factor authentication with password and mobile OTP.
Does anyone have an idea how to resolve this ?

I've been trying to get a code for two days. It's ridiculous! I can log in online, but the app is entirely useless.
There's not even a "recognize this device" option.

Ever since I start having to use a magic code my inbox is not loading and expenses not syncing. Any suggestions ?

Would be very nice to re-introduce password authentication. As an option for those who want. Current system is problematic.

Just one more reason to cancel this subscription.

I had a variant of this nightmare scenario. My company was dropping the "magic link" emails as spam, but mandated Expensify for submitting expense reports. It was horrible. I eventually got IT to whitelist the emails, but we had hundreds of employees having this problem and the accounting department was clueless how to solve it.
Madness and this kind of change that locks users out should never be undertaken without a (non-email/non-login)-dependent way to reach out to support for alternatives or solutions.
Bad form, Expensify.
Now it's down to the usual level of inconvenience that comes with these types of systems (which I absolutely hate and resent), but at least I can make it work.
Please provide an alternative mechanism. Even Oauth2 would be better than this nightmare.

I'm having this trouble, too. It's super frustrating to have an account that's so secure I can't access it.
