Changes to report user interface to highlight important information!

Agreed with those who have mentioned they dislike the removal of the star icon. With a larger company and a heavy volume of expenses it is not as easy or visible to navigate through the inbox.

I concur with many others here; it seems like these changes have caused more problems than they've corrected. I do not want Comments showing on our expense reports that will be seen by other outside the company; I cannot include the Expensify report in an invoice to a client if it has a bunch of internal information on it that I don't need/want the client to see. You should definitely re-implement the ability to toggle comments on and off!
I also use the report ID extensively and had programmed the report title to include it so that we always have that as an identifier; that in turn goes into our accounting system and provides an audit trail for us. Having it go away makes absolutely no sense at all, so I agree with others' concerns here too, although my reports still show the ID as part of the report title.
The UI does seem more difficult to me than it was. If your intent was to streamline and make it better, I don't think you succeeded. I hope you do take these comments to heart and take appropriate steps to make your users happy as it seems you've diverged from that path.

Thanks for taking the time to share this well reasoned feedback, Jake. We really do appreciate it. I can't make any promises off hand about future design decisions, but I can assure you that your feedback has been received and will be reflected in internal discussions about further development of the report UI.

Hi team,
We also found that the Download and Print button is also moving to the "detail page". We have a lot of consumers need to download the PDF file and print.
Could you also please move these two button back to the Report UI in the future?
Thank you

Hey @Kid! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here. We'll always continue working to perfect the product based on the feedback we receive.
If you have a specific idea for how to improve Expensify, I recommend posting the solution in the Ideas section of our Community. We frequently review those posts and have implemented a fair few of the most popular ideas!

I second this. Hiding useful buttons like download, edit expenses, and print only adds clicks when processing reports. The previous layout placed these buttons in already empty space to the left of the report. Now, the details pop up covers 1/3 of the report for what used to be included in blank space.
Removing the Report ID was not helpful. We do include the report id in the title, but sometimes the default title does not come through. Either someone edited it to just put a description of the report or the default title did not populate correctly. That adds another click into the details tab to copy the ID. It's also nice to have the ID included in a non-editable field on the pdf.
Please don't sacrifice or hide useful features of the tool just for a cleaner appearance.

@loganhinders Thanks so much for sharing your feedback!
There was a suggestion I wanted to make to ensure that the report title is not modified by the employees. When creating a report title, there is a button that will allow you to "Enforce Default Report Title". When this feature is enabled, no employee will be able to modify their report titles.
To find this feature, head to Settings, Policy, Report, Report Title, Enforce Default Report Title.
Again, thanks for the solid feedback. It's feedback like yours that improves the product. Let us know if there is anything else you would like us to take a look at. Cheers!

@Leslie Rodriguez That solution doesn't work for our company since we have to have them put more info into the title section, such as what project the report is for or the purpose of the charge. We prefer to have the ID number populate automatically without the possibility of being changed.

@Expense@ExpenseMaster Ah fair concern. Thank you for sharing.

Expensify is a company with no integrity. I tried to cancel my account and they sent me this worthless response:
"Thank you for your patience.
The Annual Subscription is a commitment for 12 complete months and yours currently expires in July 2021. I'm unable to cancel this commitment before the expiration.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience here."
-
Any update on making some of the changes requested here? We are getting close to the end of our subscription and plan to cancel if things aren't resolved.

Hi @ExpenseMaster! Thanks for checking in with us.
Expensify has grand dreams for 2021, and therefore we have quite a loaded roadmap. While we would like to include every user request in updates to the product, this isn't always feasible. Keep an eye out on our Announcements page to keep up to date with any new changes!

Changes caused challenges on our end - having to go back to clean it up.
