My Expensify iphone app keeps logging out after an unknown period of time
The app used to stay logged in so i could quickly scan receipts when i'm on the road.
but in the last 6 months every second time i go to use the app i have to login again, this would be ok if the app supported face id but it was requiring a password and my password manager was not being triggered as the app was not written properly. further to this expensify has now made it even more difficult to login by requiring a passcode to be sent to my email.
So essentially when the check comes at a restaurant I have to make everyone wait so i can open my app fill in my email, wait for the email to arrive then copy the code and enter it into the app, wait for login, then scan the receipt and remember to press save...
This is not convenient anymore as it used to be, is there some way to fix this??

THE REAL ISSUE HERE IS MY STAFF. IF YOU MAKE IT HARD PEOPLE WON'T DO IT. IF PEOPLE DON'T DO IT THEN WE STOP USING THE SERVICE. IF WE STOP USING THE SERVICE EXPENSIFY GOES OUT OF BUSINESS.
EXPENSIFY NEEDS TO PUT THIS BS SECURITY ON THE PARTS OF THE APP THAT NEED IT,,,,, NOT THE SCANNING OF A STUPID RECEIPT. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO LOG IN PAST A MULTI-STEP SECURITY PROTOCOL TO GIVE YOU INFO YOU DON'T HAVE.
MAKE ME DO THAT ONLY IF I WANT TO SEE THE CC # OR OTHER SENSITIVE ACCT INFO ONLY.

On a more positive note I think that Continue with Apple may be the quickest path. It uses Face ID.

Same issue as others above. Has introduced a lot of friction into what used to be a very straight-forward task of logging a receipt - and is resulting in frustration and delays in expense submission. App requires login almost every time I open it.
Is there a way to enable scanning receipts without login and then require login for more sensitive tasks? My banking app functions this way - I can see account balances when I open the app but need to authenticate to do anything deeper.

I'm also having this issue. It started in April-ish, I've been in touch with support but they've not made any suggestions yet that have actually helped. It's logging me out every 4-5 days like clock work, which means it takes 4-5 days before I know their latest suggestion (uninstalling & reinstalling the app for the second time) didn't help.

The latest update I can get from support is that they have been actively working on this, but months later have still not identified the root cause. It seems highly unlikely that both statements can be true given it's a relatively simple issue that is easy to reproduce.
Note that when it happens, you may lose any receipts in the upload queue.

This continues to happen to me months after first raising it. It ruins all the convenience of the app.
