In reality this month I had sent over 100 receipts but am only seeing about 80. Any ideas what has happened?
Hi @ahjames Welcome to the Expensify Community!
Can you tell me what method you were using to send your receipts through to Expensify?
And can you provide a few examples of missing expenses i.e. Merchant, Amount and Date?
Hello, thank you for the response. Some receipts I email through and some I drag and drop. Having gone through each receipt that I emailed I found that they all appeared. So the 89 receipts that I dragged and dropped must be where the fault lies (and it is proving to be so). I am now re-drag and dropping ten at a time and verifying each one lands. I will then have to delete duplicates. A very long winded method and frustrating that I have to do this. Can you recommend a method for avoiding this approach in the future? I have always genius scanned my receipts, then upload them to my one drive and then drag and drop on mass.
Also is there anyway of automatically sycing from geniusscan to expensify ? There used to be couple of years ago.. I find the scanning ability of genius scan much better than expensify, hence I use genius scan.
Hi @ahjames actually the approach we recommend is exactly what you suggest - uploading in batches of 10.
Can you see Expensify as an option in your Export Options for Genius Scan?
Hello, expensify is not an export option for Genius scan on my phone. Is this something that might be an option in the future. Would be ideal!
Forgot to add a question mark, after: Is this something that might be an option in the future?
Hi @ahjames it is an option but I believe you need a premium account with Genius Scan?
I do have a premium account with Genius Scan. But there is no export option to expensify.. Any ideas?
@ahjames I believe the integration comes from the Genius Scan end, have you tried reaching out to them?
I shall ask them now
So the answer for future reference is that you can export to expensify only in JPEG. When you change the image to from pdf to jpeg then expensify comes up as an export option. Shall try it for my expenses next month!
