Can you add the functionality to have multiple mileage rates please?
The UK has different mileage rates for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
Also, the mileage rate for cars drops after 10,000 business miles.

Hi @SiPeace, thanks so much for your idea. Whilst we're definitely tracking requests for this already, it's great to have a place for others to vote on this in the Community. Don't forget as well to vote for your own idea!
Thanks for the heads up Ted. Honestly I'm amazed this hasn't come up before... the differential HMRC mileage rates are not new. Although it was difficult to find the "Ideas" section on the website. Had to click through from a previous suggestion in the community discussion section.
this is definitely a requirement. Here in France, the rate is different depending on the type of vehicle, horsepower and total distance per year (see 2018 cars scale table attached to give you an idea).
Every personal vehicle being different, this rate should be set at the user level and not the policy level. Ultimately, what could be done is creating the price table in the policy and the user choose the horsepower corresponding to its car / motocycle / bicycle / etc
We use different mileage rates for employees who drive personal cars for company business and those who drive company cars for company business so having the ability to utilize multiple rates in one policy would be ideal.
I'm in the US but also need this because I have some employees working using base rate per month plus reduced mileage rate, others using personal cars for far less travel but at full rate
I agree, this is definitely needed to handle the different rate when you go over 10,000 miles in the UK.
I have a question though...if I was to update the default amount to the new lower rate part way through the year, would that affect previous entries, or only new entries?
I am hoping only new entries otherwise it is going to mess up all my old entries where the higher rate is/was still valid. Although not perfect, at least that would allow me to handle the reduced amount and keep the tax man off my back :-)
I vote as well.. I use a toll road in Toronto Canada that changes rates depending on the time of day.. It would be nice to set-up different mileage rate for each time segment
At each new year, we US policy admins need one for last year's rate (for users who haven't submitted yet) and the new year's rate (for those who submit soon for January mileage).
Another use case in the US is the standard reimbursement rate (2018 rate of $0.545), and then the 2 different tax deduction rates for 1) medical ($0.18), and 2) charitable ($0.14) mileage.
Is there any scope for this happening? I raised the need for it originally back in November 2017, and I can see there are many others users are requesting the need for it.
