QBO - Editing tags in bulk

My client has ~4500 customers arranged by Customer:Job. They are syncing to QBO. We'd like to disable the customer level so that expenses can only be attached to the Job. We can do this manually by editing the tags and disabling the Customer one by one, but this is very time consuming since the policy updates after each radio button is toggled. Is there any way to do this in bulk?

Hi @vrc - I'm afraid there's no quicker way currently to toggle tags right now, although it definitely shouldn't be taking 20-30 seconds per tag, so I'd love to dive into that issue.
During a quick test for me, it really should only take a second or two, meaning we should be able to get at least 10-15 done in the time it's taking you to do the one.
All I can think to check right now would be either your current internet speed or the Expensify Status page at the time (to query whether the issue is some slowness or downtime on our side).

Hi @vrc, thanks for reaching out. Sadly there is not a way to import the Jobs without the Customers, sorry about that. The connection with the QBO API returns all customers and jobs during each sync.
Take care!

Hi Sheena,
I don't think you understood my question. I understand that they all need to be imported. But once in Expensify is there an easier way to edit Tags in bulk? I need to disable 2000 tags, and each one takes 20-30 seconds, since the system updates after each one. -
Including a tag manager where the user can add, edit, delete tags would sure be helpful. The “edit” part of the tag manager would allow the opportunity to edit a tag and have that edit applied to all uses of that tag. For example, if a tag was called “bleu”, the user could edit that tag in the tag manager and change it to “blue” and have that change applied to all expenses that had the incorrectly spelled bleu.

@Ted Peeters - I think the issue is that there are 5000 tags on this policy. Editing them takes a lot longer than a policy with only 100-200 tags/Customers.
