We're new to Expensify, new to Quickbooks, a new business.
We've been having some issues expenses exporting to Quickbooks from Expensify with VAT marked as exclusive when it arrives in Quickbooks. It's already marked as inclusive by default in Quickbooks.
I have spoken to technical support at Expensify who investigated all my settings both on Expensify and Quickbooks thoroughly, all settings seemed fine.
After a lot of head scratching the tech agent spotted that a recent software update from Quickbooks which means Expensify can no longer pull in the inclusive VAT setting from Quickbooks, this might only be happening for new users, I don't know.
The proposed solution would be to either add a toggle to Expensify to allow the user to choose inclusive or exclusive VAT or get Quickbooks to send a fix from their end.
The software engineers are limited by time and resources - so if you have been affected by this please vote up this fix and let's get it sorted promtly. TIAJuly 6
