Are you getting a new URL? AKA a new domain? AKA is the ‘bit after the @ symbol in your email address’ changing?

In many cases the Expensify team can change this for you as long as certain conditions are met:

Is your current domain, or the new domain, verified? But not both of them at the same time?

  • Yes = we can migrate for you
  • No = manual migration (or reset the one you are moving to)

Do the emails map 1:1? I.e. bob@old.com will become bob@new.com (not bob.smith@new.com)

Have your users already set up accounts under the new domain? If you’re not sure, ask us and we can check.

  • No = we can migrate for you
  • Some = how many? We might be able to migrate for you
  • Yes = manual migration

So what happens in an automatic Domain Migration?

We validate your domain, we add the new email address as the Secondary Login, and then switch it to be the new Primary login. Your users likely will not even notice the change. All assigned cards and domain groups etc will stay exactly the same.
