Bulk Download of Expense PDFs?

My company has not 100% adopted Expensify, and is still requiring printed reports and receipts/invoices using our own report layout. I'm sure I can use the API to fill out our own forms, but I don't know if there's a way to use the API to download the PDF receipts and invoices. Could I use the API to download the expense/report files? Or could I at least export these PDFs in bulk? This would be very tedious to do manually.

Hi @tvanantwerp, great to have you in the Expensify Community. You can use the Report Exporter API to export your reports if you'd like.
You can specify the file extension of the reports you specify in that call as one or multiple of “csv”, “xls”, “xlsx”, “txt”, “pdf”, “json”, “xml”.
Note: if the “pdf” option is chosen, one PDF file will be generated for each report exported.

There are a number of seemingly ridiculous shortcomings with Expensify which signal too few service designers at the company have actually dealt with expenses in real life! Not being able to bulk print reports (without resorting to the API) has got to be right up there. Seriously?

Hi @psheld - would you mind elaborating on the real-life examples where you'd be required to bulk print PDF's of your expense reports? If you know how other cloud Expense Software providers go about this, that would be useful for us to know too!

I need to bulk print PDFs when my client wants to me to evidence my expenses.
No idea about other software providers, Expensify is the first one I've tried.
Thanks.

Ah! I remember this. We definitely discussed this before here @psheld. I can confirm that even since then, this isn't a feature we've had any sort of critical mass of users request.
We're always happy to respond to requests when they do feel like they're required by a significant subset of our customers though!
