How-to: Change your existing plan
As of July 2021, Expensify will offer 5 plans: Track, Submit, Collect, Control, and FREE!
Changing your plan will depend on what plan you’re currently on, what type of plan you’d like to start using, and what device you’re currently using (web or mobile app) when making the change.
It is important to note that if you are on a Collect or Control plan already, it will NOT be possible to switch to a FREE plan.
On Web (with a Group Policy)
Visit your Settings > Policies > Group > [Your Group Policy] > Plan area and select Switch under the policy you’d like to switch to:
On Web (with an Individual Policy)
Visit your Settings > Policies > Individual > [Your Individual Policy] > Plan area and select Switch under the policy you’d like to switch to:
On Mobile (with a Group Policy)
If you’re using the Expensify mobile app, you can start changing your plan from within Settings > Policies > (Your Policy) > Current Plan > Switch.
If you want to go step by step:
- Tap on the hamburger icon on the top left of the screen,
- Tap on Settings,
- Next, tap View All near your policy,
- From here, tap the policy you’re looking to make the change to under the Group tab,
- Next, tap the Current Plan option under Plan,
- Finally, you’ll see the Switch option below the plan you’re currently not using:
On Mobile (with an Individual Policy):
Open the Expensify App and:
- Tap on the hamburger icon on the top left of the screen,
- Then tap Settings,
- Next, tap View All near your policy,
- Tap the policy you’re looking to make the change to under the Individual tab,
- Next, tap the Current Plan option under Plan:
- Finally, you’ll see the Switch option below the plan you’re currently not using:
