what is the best option to recover my account without using a different email?

Hi team, I can't open my account because I lost my authenticator app and I wasn't able to sync/back up my code. Can you please confirm if the account owner can just delete my account and then send an invite to let me create an account using my old email? I also sent an email in your support, hoping I can get a response asap.

Hi @april16 Hmm, what do you mean by the account owner deleting your account? Only the user owning the email address associated with that account can delete it. Did you have a secondary login for the account?

oh. Then can you suggest any options on how will I recover my account?

@april16 I think it's best we continue the conversation with [email protected] either in-app or via email. Unfortunately, we have strict rules around recovering accounts and there's a specific process that Concierge can guide you through. But quickly, if your domain is verified, you can have the Domain Admin toggle the 2FA setting off on your account, so that you can regain access.

Hi, I just email the concierge yesterday but still didn't received any response. Hi, so to turn off my 2FA this should be done by the account owner right? and can this be done even tho I don't have my recovery code? If yes, Can you please provide a link on how to do this?

Ah, I just checked your account and because it is a gmail account (i.e. an open domain) this route of recovery is not possible. I am sorry to say here that there isn't anything further we can do if you do not have your recovery codes.

oh no.... so you mean to say even tho the account owner will verify the domain or add me in the domain, it still won't work right?

Unfortunately, because it's not possible to be a Domain Admin of Gmail account (that would give you access to all the gmail accounts in Expensify, theoretically) it still won't work, I'm afraid!
