Custom Report

I've created a custom report format to output the user's email address, report title, report start date, GL code and expense amount. Instead of getting individual line item amount, is there any way to get the TOTAL amount by category (or GL code) AND by user? Basically, I want to be able to select all reports processed in any time frame and be able to create an excel report to show the TOTAL amount BY CATEGORY BY USERS.

@Coco the best option here would be to use the Category export template that comes standard with all accounts. From the Reports page, select all the reports you want to export and then the Category export in the Export to drop down. (below)
This template should give you the breakdown by category and allow you to sort by employee. If that isn't the case, then using a custom export template and exporting from the Expenses page, by employee, should be a good option.

@Sheena Trepanier I did try the Category Export that come standard with the account. However that only spit out ONE total for each category for ALL users. Is there a way to customize that Category Export function?

@coco -- Unfortunately, the Category Export template is not customizable at this time. In this scenario, it may be better to export from the Expenses page after filtering expenses to be for a single employee. An example of that is below.

I don't have the category report option! How do I get that?

Hi @JuliaP! This level of reporting is currently only available to those with a Group plan. To see the different subscriptions available and what's included, check out our pricing page! This guide will show you a side-by-side comparison of policy options and a feature breakdown. This will give you a better idea of what features are available and which you would like to use.
