Hotel receipt needs itemisation

Hi

I'm trying to find a solution for my husband. His employer requires that he submits itemised expenses from his hotel bill, broken down into categories of accommodation, meals, laundry, other. Can SmartScan recognise from a photo of the invoice which item is which or does he have to manually tag them?

Hi there @Aisling, great question! Right now, SmartScanning receipts, even hotel receipts with Expensify will not automatically breakdown the line-items I'm afraid.

Once the total is scanned though, it can be easily split into multiple parts. You can learn how to split an expense here.
