People > Employee role ........Custom Field 1 and Custom Field 2

Greetings - what are the purpose of these fields for? I was looking at the "Employee" tab and just noticed them.

Hi @Lizzie! Kind of as the name implies, this field is can be anything that's hard coded to the employee themselves, e.g. Location or an Employee Number.

Can we use those fields also in Xero automatically? Would be great to have the employee numbers to work with for further analysis purposes, where names and email often generate issues across systems because they're not identical (hence formulas don't work).

Hi @crypto_dan, nice follow up question. Those fields don't currently integrate with Xero, or any of our accounting packages, but I think it's an idea that has some merit. Would you be down to add it to our Ideas category so other customers can vote to support it as well?
