Is there a way to copy or duplicate expenses?

Something that would be immensely helpful to me is the ability to copy/duplicate an expense.
I travel to the exact same client often and need the exact same per diem often, just with a different date.
I know you can have rules, but I still have to go in create the expense and add a lot of the same information. I would love to copy and paste 6 times, change to grid mode and just update the dates.
This seems like really basic functionality. Am I just missing something?

Hi @malcolmeaton - I suggest that you put this under the ideas section in Categories. This way users can vote on the idea and Expensify will see how popular this idea would be. I would vote on it!

Work Around: Export to CSV -> Edit -> Import into Expensify
Export Expenses to CSV.
You may want to create a CSV Template to use in the future. I named mine "Recurring Expenses".
Update Dates in CSV.
I show only one expense replicated over multiple months. You could instead have multiple recurring expenses that you import each month after changing the dates. Or you could do both and just import the whole year's worth of recurring expenses.
Import file using Credit Card Import tool.
You will need to assign an account name, I recommend "Recurring Expenses" which is the same name I gave to the CSV export template. They don't need to match, but mine do.

@rjanders, this is a great idea. I hadn't thought of this this way.

+1 I have a lot of repeat travel to/from the same clients. Would love to just "Copy to new report"

@dolphinkick, there is one little trick that may be helpful in your situation. You can go into a report and copy the report. When you do that, it also makes a duplicate copy of the expenses there.
