Cannot get Expensify Sync Manager to open

I'm using QuickBooks desktop and am trying to open Expensify Sync Manager to save my token but Sync Manager is not opening.  I try to connect anyway and receive this message:

The Expensify Sync Manager could not be reached. Please make sure that both the Sync Manager and QuickBooks Desktop are running. If the Sync Manager status already shows as "Connected", please click the Edit and Save buttons to refresh the connection

Please help!
