Hiring Policies

In age of diversity and inclusion it seemed odd to me that Expensify doesnt appear to hire any african americans or people of color in the executive/management ranks. I reviewed the team page and the diversity outside of asian and white associates seems to be non-existent. Is this just the status quo for all tech companies or does Expensify not seek out to have diversity in the executive and management functions of the business.

You can read more about our Hiring Process here and our thoughts on Leaders here. We never discriminate in our hiring processes. We host recruitment events at many job conferences and universities near all our major office locations and all are welcome to apply and be hired.
As a flat organization, we don't assign titles either. We have a diverse pool of leaders and employees from a large mix of ethnicities and genders.

I appreciate you have a policy, but policies only matter if they deliver the intended results. What are you doing to change your recruiting to address the massive diversity gap? What percentage of your workforce is African American? Is it the national average of 17%?
