Intacct - Map 1 category (gl code) to more than 1 item

Related to billable expenses - Is there a way to map 1 category (1 expense account) to more than 1 item in Expensify?
When I mapped a category to an item the category no longer shows up on the category drop down list for me to use it again....

Thank you @JoannaB! I definitely needed the help to get on the same page here!
If you enable Billable Expenses in your configuration, you will be able to map a category to one specific item. You cannot map one category to multiple items.

@JoannaB I am not exactly clear on your question. You are able to categorize expenses with any category, multiple expenses will typically have the same category.
You are not able to apply more than one category to one expense - you'll need to use tags to add more categorization to an expense. This is all regardless of the billable flag, which is unrelated.
Sorry, if I've missed your questions, please get back to me with an example.

I am referring to associating at Item to a Category, this appears to 1 category to 1 item not 1 category to many items.
Is 1 category to many items possible?

Thanks for clarifying, @JoannaB!
"Is 1 category to many items possible?"
If an Item is an expense,
- You can assign one Category to many expenses.
- You cannot assign multiple categories to one expense.
You can learn more about Categories importing from Sage Intacct here. Let me know if I can help with anything else!

A category is an expense in Intacct. An item is another dimension in Intacct which I need to bill back customers for expenses incurred. In Intacct I can assign 1 expense to many items but I cannot seem to do this in Expensify. Please confirm.

Ah, thank you so much for clarifying @JoannaB! At this time Sage Intacct Items do not import into Expensify. Instead, we recommend considering configuring User Defined Dimensions to create the Items you'd like to have available in Expensify.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

The items are visible in Expensify - what I cannot seem to do is map many items to 1 category - please confirm if this is normal behavior.

@JoannaB Within Expensify, you will map expenses and categories. You are also able to select tags to add to expenses. I would assume your items are showing as tags. You are able to select one tag per tag level to apply to expenses. You won't map tags to categories. Both of these are levels of categorization that are applied to the expense.

Again please see screenshot - an item is not a tag. This is an Intacct integration specific question. I have reviewed all your documentation and there is no answer to my question. So again can I map many items to 1 category. It appears not.

Sorry for the back and forth @JoannaB . Is this a screenshot from your Intacct account? I don't know their rules for this mapping but it appears that you wouldn't be able to.
When you said "the items are visible in Expensify" I was assuming that you imported them with the User Defined Dimensions shared earlier which allow them to import as tags.
This is not an option within Expensify.

That is an expensify screenshot in the Configure screen under category. I did not import items as UDDs

@JoannaB I'm not seeing that in Expensify. Can you include a full-page screenshot so that I can have an idea of where you are seeing this?
